Sushila has been practicing for 21 years and is fully accredited by The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
She qualified from Cardiff University in 1988 and went on to be employed by Nottingham Health Authority for two years.
The valuable experience that she gained in employment allowed her to set up private practice in Essex. She also set up a Podiatry Clinic in the medical department of the Ford's Dunton Technical Centre in Essex.
She is a member of the Health Professions Council (formally known as State Registration).This is the only qualification that is recognized for employment in the National Health Service. The Health Professions Council (HPC) is a regulatory body.
It is a legal requirement for certain health professionals to be registered.
Individuals registered by the HPC are bound by strict codes of ethics and conduct. This includes Continual Professional Development.
Anita Patel D.Pod.M M.Ch.S
Anita has been in private practice for 20 years. She has a private practice in Romford, Essex and carries out home visits.
She qualified from The London Foot Hospital in 1989 and went on to be employed by Stockport Health Authority.
The valuable experience that she gained in employment allowed her to set up private practice in Romford, Essex. She also set up a Podiatry Clinic in the medical department of the Ford's Tractor plant as well as working in Dunton Technical Centre in Essex.
As well as carrying out all aspects of routine chiropody treatments, she specialises in biomechanics, offering comprehensive approach to treatment and providing a large range of specialised insoles and orthotics for all ages, to suits all budgets for musculoskeletal conditions. She receives referrals from many other health care professionals such as consultant orthopaedic surgeons, rheumatologists, physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropody colleagues.
Advances in the scope of practice include an in-house footwear centre, offering free digital foot scans to assess foot type, size and pressure points and combining this with professional advice, fitting and supply of shoes and sandals that are comfortable yet feel and look great. She also offers cosmetic and reconstructive gel toe nail treatment, both services are unique and popular additions to the practice.
