Relexology is a natural drug-free complementary therapy suitable for all age groups.
What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is an ancient form of healing which recognises the body's unique capacity to heal itself. It promotes total relaxation and seeks to balance all the systems of the body in order to restore health and a feeling of well-being. Following illness, stress, injury or disease, the body is in a state of 'imbalance' when vital energy pathways may be blocked, thus preventing healthy function. This gentle therapy, which is complementary to orthodox medicine, uses minute pressure points all over the feet, stimulating and encouraging the body to heal itself at its own pace, often counteracting a lifetime of misuse. Every single part of the body is 'mirrored' in the reflex zones of the feet and hands, and the Reflexologist carefully works all of the zones, thereby giving the entire body a work out.
Although many conditions can be helped with Reflexology, you do not of course have to be ill to benefit. Stress is a factor in the lives of most people today, whether it is the stress of running a business or being a busy Mum juggling the needs of the family. An hour's treatment away from all the pressures of our daily lives can be very beneficial, including a wonderful feeling of relaxation and well-being.
